Exhibition design
Moderna Museet, Stockholm, Sweden 2004

As a project for the learning department alongside the exhibition Fashination at Moderna Museet, a group of teenagers led by artist Lena Malm explored fashion and clothing as carriers of social codes. For this purpose, an exhibition & project space was designed as a stage to be modified as the project changed character during the ongoing process.Discussing the sense of belonging vs. alienation, communities vs. social barriers but also with features inspired by hidden codes in fashion, a sort of segmented concourse was created in black, gold & mirrors. This modular system could transform from stage to catwalk to individual exhibition displays, activated by the participants themselves.
