Based in Sweden, Birger Lipinski is trained as an interior architect with a MA in furniture design from the Konstfack, University College of Arts, Crafts, and Design in Stockholm. Given his interest in the intersections and crossovers between design, architecture, and art, he often collaborates on interdisciplinary projects with artists, curators, art spaces, cultural institutions and museums.
Within these collaborations, his practice mainly focuses on exhibition design, and his work is permanently featured at institutions such as Moderna Museet and the Museum of Performing Arts in Stockholm as well as in Nyköpings´ County Museum.
Among many other cultural venues in Sweden and abroad, he has worked closely with institutions such as the Nobel Prize Museum, the Mediterranean Museum, Uppsala Konstmuseum, Södertälje Konsthall, the Swedish Exhibition Agency, the Museum of Etnography and Forum for Living History in Stockholm; Pinacoteca de São Paulo and MAM- Museu de Arte Moderna in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Birger Lipinski bears the title SIR/MSA and is a member of the association Architects Sweden.
