Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, Sweden 2019

Temporary exhibition, highlighting the ancient embroidery tradition along the Euphrates river in southern Iraq. Here a hand embroidered carpet – a recent acquisition of the museum – was displayed on a major, tilted platform turned towards the entrance. The exhibition space was darkened using a dark blue shade on walls, floor and displays, thus emphasizing the colorful textile and the additional exhibited objects, as well as the film projection informing the audience about the historical background.
