HENNING MANKELL CULTURAL CENTER
Exhibition & furniture design
Sveg, Sweden 2007

Henning Mankell Cultural Center and Archives, commissioned by the municipality of Härjedalen, was designed in a way that visitors could learn more about the writers’ creative process and his upbringing in Sveg through his fictional characters. Presented in various overlapping layers of images, exhibits, texts and interactive media, each visit becomes a most personal experience for the viewers.
Displays, archives and furniture were specifically designed for this purpose with an austere expression juxtaposing the already existing and lighter pine wood interiors.
